Railing Building Code

Compliant with the 4” Sphere Rule, our railing posts are drilled with 3" center-to-center holes to prevent any deflection exceeding 4 inches. For optimal safety and performance, the span between two structural posts should not exceed 4 feet. If you’re increasing the span to 7 feet, you’ll need a structural post every 8 feet with intermediate spacing every 4 feet between structural posts. Always consult your local building authorities for specific regulations.
